Al’Adalah: Journal of Islamic Studies is a biannual, peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to interdisciplinary scholarship on the dynamic relationship between Islam, digital technology, and social transformation toward justice and sustainability. The journal examines how Islamic norms, ethical reasoning, and socio-religious practices both shape and are shaped by contemporary shifts in digital life, emerging technologies, governance innovations, and global ecological challenges.

Al’Adalah: Journal of Islamic Studies publishes original research articles and critical analyses (conceptual, normative, empirical, and case-study based) that advance robust theoretical engagement and methodological rigour across Islamic law, ethics, theology, philosophy, socio-history, public policy, and related fields. By bridging Islamic intellectual traditions with today’s pressing societal questions, the journal seeks to foster scholarship that is analytically grounded, socially relevant, and globally engaged.

Al'Adalah: Journal of Islamic Studies is a journal published by the Center for Research and Community Service (LP2M) State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Jember since April 8, 1998—now State Islamic University Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq of Jember, Indonesia. This journal has been published in the printed version since 1998 based on Decree No.04.94/IV.3.05/ISSN/1998. Then, on May 29, 2019, this journal was registered with e-ISSN: 2684-8368 p-ISSN: 1410-7406 since volume 22 issue 1 (2019) was published online (open access) with a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number by CrossRef.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global knowledge exchange.
